Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Vol 2: Best Friends

Main Characters

Ventus – Yeah. We’re going to make so many memories from here on. Ones of being together with you,Terra and Aqua – The youngest of Eraqus’ pupils. Spurred by the words of the masked boy, he left the Land of Departure to chase Terra, who wouldn’t listen and stop. He is a pure-hearted being who, even while baffled by the strange happenings in the worlds and the secrets surrounding his own past, continues to grow as he meets people of all kinds.

Terra – You might save me one day – He left the Land of Departure to travel the worlds in order to search for Master Xehanort, under Master Eraqus’ instruction. Troubled by the existence of darkness inside him, he parted with Aqua and Ventus and is groping to find his own path.

Aqua – No need to worry. Our treasure, the bond of our hearts, won’t break so easily – A woman Keyblade Master who is travelling in order to find out the true nature of the strange happenings in the worlds, while continuing to believe in the bond between hers, Terra and Ventus’ hearts. Her serious and honour-bound personality has caused a slight misunderstanding to develop over her concern for Terra, and with bad feelings in the air she continues to wander the worlds trying to fulfil her mission.

Radiant Garden

Braig – If I beat you, then I’ll be the one worthy of the Keyblade, ‘s all I’m sayin’ – One of Ansem the Wise’s bodyguards. He’s very good at blinding people with his carefree demeanour, but there are strong ambitions hidden in his heart. Thanks to his encounter with Master Xehanort he is interested in the Keyblade, and he is plotting something.

Even –  I have a feeling that after this, you and I may share some kind of fate – A genius researcher who works hard under Ansem, studying the heart. He takes an interest in Ventus thanks to him saving Ienzo, whom he treasures above all others. A possessor of sharp intuition, he gives a declaration that makes it seem as though he can see the future.

Ienzo – This child lost his parents, you see. We take care of him, we’re raising him – An orphaned boy who is being raised by Even and the others in Ansem the Wise’s castle. Though he is still young, he has mastered a composed demeanour to the extend that even with the Unversed before him he is not upset.

Isa – Sorry, I’m not a very good liar – A boy with a calm and taciturn personality. He connects with his best friend Lea through candid objections, but he keeps other people at a distance, and doesn’t speak much. He also often scolds Lea, who has an opposite (though complementary) personality.

Lea – We’re friends already, see. Get that memorised – A boy who lives in Radiant Garden. He and Isa are best friends. He has a sociable personality, and hopes he can remain inside people’s memories forever. He and Isa have made a certain resolution, and are heading for Ansem the Wise’s castle.

Disney Town

Minnie Mouse – Please, no need to be so formal. ‘Minnie’ is just fine. – The Queen of Disney Castle, who holds the deep trust of her people. Due to the absence of King Mickey, she is running Disney Town, in the middle of the opening of the Dream Festival, all by herself. Her personality is such that she is always gentle and composed, but she is also tough enough to face bad people resolutely.

Chip & Dale – You’re the best, racer Terra! – Then you’re my favourite, Terra – Chipmunk brothers who are opening the Rumble Racing at the Dream Festival. Older brother Chip has the black nose. Younger brother Dale has the red nose.

Horace Horsecollar – Another monster has appeared at Horace Horsecollar’s plaza! – The manager of Fruit Scatter, one of the attractions of the festival. He’s an old acquaintance of Mickey and Minnie’s, from long before they made this country.

Pete – What’s wrong? Captain Justice will help you! – The lone racer, burdened with shadow. That’s right, I am Captain Dark! – The nuisance of the country. Because his actions are usually bad, he is disguising himself as other people in order to gain votes for the Festival’s popular voting event, the Million Dollar Dream award. Captain Justice is the white-masked hero of justice who protects the peace. Captain Dark is the lone dark hero who is burdened with shadow.

Goofy – I wonder where his Majesty is right now…? – Donald’s partner, and captain of the palace knights of Disney Castle. In contrast to Donald, he has an easygoing tone and a peaceful personality.

He is worried because King Mickey, whom he serves, has given them the slip without telling them where he has gone, and he and Goofy have left Disney Castle in pursuit. He has an impatient and emotional personality.

Dr. Jumba Jookiba – Friends? Bonds? He could never comprehend such things! – The self-proclaimed ‘evil genius scientist’ who created Experiment 626. Because he created dangerous creatures through illegal research, he has been charged with the crime by the Intergalactic Federation and imprisoned.

Experiment 626 (Stitch) – Ah… koo… wa, fren… Terra, Veh… – The 626th living weapon that Dr. Jumba Jookiba made experimentally with illegal gene manipulation. With only destructive instincts, he has a small body but exorbitant physical strength and intelligence, and because of this, the Intergalactic Federation have decided to give him eternal exile as a dangerous being.

Experiment 221 (Sparky) – I’ll show you. The finished product of an evil genius scientist! – The 221st experiment completed by Dr Jumba. It attacks by manipulating freely the electricity it charges in its body. Usually in a capsule state, which it returns to when it comes into contact with water.

Phil – To be a hero, strength isn’t everything. A heart that can feel for others is also important – A shrewd trainer who once produced many heroes. Now he is strictly disciplining Hercules, trying to make him into a genuine hero. However, he has a huge weakness for women.

Zack – The road to becoming a hero… the end is still a long way off – A soldier who continues to train, eyes on his dream of becoming a hero. Zack is running around after the legendary trainer he heard of, Phil, trying to get him to coach him.

Peter Pan – If you just believe, you’ll definitely be able to fly too – A boy who lives in Neverland. He never ages, and is a boy forever. He can fly freely through the air. Loved by children with free hearts, he is their dependable leader.

Captain Hook – I’ve found you, Peter Pan! Today we settle this – The ill-natured and greedy leader of the pirates. He’s always looking for treasure and plotting evil things, but Peter Pan getting in the way makes things terribly difficult for him.
